HPV, or human Papillome virus, is a group of viruses that belongs to the family Papillome viruses. This type of virus is called Papillome virus because it can cause so called Papillome or warts (which are harmless). Human Papillome virus, or wart virus, is common and approximately 80 percent of the population have some time in life been infected with some sort of genital HPV. Mostly the HPV infection heals by itself and you do not even notice that you have been infected. But sometimes symptoms show and in certain cases the infection can lead to serious diseases.
There are more than 100 different types of HPV. Sixty of them causes warts on the skin and are harmless. Others, approximately 40 types, are so called genital human Papillome viruses and aim for mucous membranes, especially in the genital area. In the genital area some can cause warts, also called genital warts or condyloma. Other genital HPV types can also be the cause of slight cell alterations (that is cell alterations that do not lead to cancer, also called low grade cell changes or low risk alterations).
In the genital area there might also be other types of HPV that can cause serious cell alterations (which in turn can develop into for example cervical cancer). Approximately 15 of the HPV-types that looks for the genital area are so called high risk types and can lead to cervical cancer. Two of these causes roughly 70 percent of all cervical cancers. Theses two types are also the main cause for a great number of different genital cancers and also tonsil cancer. Of the different HPV-types that causes condyloma, type 6 and 11, represents 90 percent of all cases.
How does the HPV virus pass on the infection? Different types of human Papillome virus pass on the infection by itself in different ways. The viruses that are responsible for hand- and feet warts pass on the infection through the skin by touching of the wart itself or if one gets in contact with the skin cells from the warts (that falls of the wart every day by the thousands). This sort of human Papillome virus can also pass the infection indirectly, via floor in swimming pool facilities. The types that affects the genital parts pass on the infections through contact with the mucous membrane and the sex organ, often when having sexual intercourse. Since human Papillome virus can pass on infections without the person itself has any symptoms, the virus can be transferred without any one knowing about it. You can carry the HPV virus for months or years since the last time having sex.
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE or lupus) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can be fatal, though with recent medical advances, fatalities are becoming increasingly rare. It may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, and other organs. Systemic lupus erythematosus involves chronic inflammation that can affect many parts of the body. SLE (lupus) is an autoimmune disease. This means there is a problem with the body’s normal immune system response. Normally, the immune system helps protect the body from harmful substances. Fever occurs in 90% of patients with SLE and is usually caused by the inflammatory process of the disease, not by infection. It is low-grade except during an acute lupus crisis. SLE may be mild or severe enough to cause death.
SLE often begins with a skin rash over the nose and cheeks that is shaped like a butterfly and made worse by exposure to the sun. This may be accompanied by tiredness and joint pains. SLE symptoms may develop slowly over months or years, or they may appear suddenly. Symptoms tend to be worse during winter months, perhaps because prolonged exposure to sunlight in the summer causes a gradual build-up of factors that trigger symptoms months later. SLE is one of several diseases known as the great imitator because its symptoms vary so widely it often mimics or is mistaken for other illnesses. There are an estimated 50,000 people with SLE in the UK. Women are nine times more likely to be affected than men. SLE commonly starts in the teens and 20s.
About 90% of people who have lupus are young women in their late teens to 30s. Older men and women can also be affected. SLE or lupus occurs in all parts of the world but may be more common in blacks and in Asians. Treatment depends on which organs are affected and whether the lupus is mild or severe. Immunosuppressants may be used to relieve symptoms and control the disease, while physiotherapy can help to relieve joint problems. Sun exposure should be avoided and infections treated promptly. Bone marrow transplant autologous stem cell transplants are under investigation as a possible cure. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for fever, arthritis, and headache. Antimalarial drugs for pleurisy, mild kidney involvement, and inflammation of the tissue surrounding the heart
Lupus Erythematosus Treatment and Prevention Tips
1. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) are used.
2. Corticosteroid creams are used to treat skin rashes.
3. Sun exposure should be avoided and infections treated promptly.
4. Immunosuppressants may be used to relieve symptoms and control the disease.
5. Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) is an antimalarial medication found to be particularly effective for SLE patients.

This one of those tests that you should not fear and, in fact should take for your healths sake. A physical fitness test will only oblige you, after all, to do exercises that would serve as measuring instruments for your agility, endurance and stability, which are the four aspects that physical fitness consists of. You will be required to undergo such test if you join institutions that give importance to your physical abilities. If you join the army or the police, you will definitely require you to be fit. If you want to become an athlete, your team or club will normally ask you to do the test.
Tests on cardio, usually, require you to jog a distance or time in order to find out how your endurance is. Some routines on weight training may also be performed such as pull-ups to measure your strength. Short sprints and long jumps are also done to determine your agility. If you wish to get a more comprehensive reading though, try performing all four types of tests.
The first things you will appreciate in a physical fitness test will be your strengths and weaknesses. If you perform all routines necessary to measure yourself on the four factors, you will find out your problem areas. You can still start working out without undergoing a fitness test though. However, you run the risk of focusing only on your strengths while setting aside those that need to be developed.
When you are done with your physical fitness test, the results will be the starting points for your fitness program. If it proves that you have a problem with endurance, then your program will require you more cardio. If it also tells you that you lack physical strength, then you will have to spend more time with weights. Still, you will have to do the rest of the routines for a balanced approach on fitness.
Hospitals and clinics can also use physical fitness tests on you if you are their patient. They consider this as a form of diagnostic testing, checking how patients react to physical exertion before or after undergoing treatment. While running on a treadmill for a given time, they will monitor how your heart and lungs function. If you have gone through a surgical operation on your bone fractures or torn muscles, they may prescribe you to lift some weights so they can check your recovery status.
Almost every school makes it a point to let their students take physical fitness tests. They find this indispensable in their efforts to keep their students health in check by promoting a physical fitness program. This has become more valuable now that obesity has become such a problem for many young people. While implementing a fitness program, they conduct fitness tests to monitor the students development and make adjustments if necessary.

Generally, there are two ways of treating Polycystic Kidney Disease. On one hand, cysts can be narrowed or removed by surgery which has instant effects, but the disappear of cysts will leave space for the growth of new cysts. On the other hand, with the advantage of safety, Chinese Medicine is applied in treating Polycystic Kidney Disease. Why Chinese Medicine is suggested? How does Chinese Medicine treat cysts?
Treating Polycystic Kidney Disease by Micro-Chinese Medicine
Due to oral medicines have side effects on most organs, such as stomach, liver, intestines and so on, Micro-Chinese medicine is invented as a external therapy. Patients only need lie on the two medicine bags for 45 minutes, then can they enjoy the massage of medicines on the kidney position. Comparing with surgery, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy does not need cut, anesthsia and some oral medicines.
There are two main functions of Micro-Chinese Medicine in treating Polycystic Kidney Disease.
First of all , Micro-Chinese Medicine can expand the blood vessels on the face of cysts, accelerate the blood circulation, promote the permeability of cyst wall, then the sac liquid can flow out through the cyst wall with the blood circulation. In this way, cysts will be narrowed. However, how to prevent the appearance of new cysts?
Micro-Chinese Medicine has functions in repairing damaged kidneys, thus recovering kidney functions. After kidney functions have been improved, the toxins, excessive fluid and sac liquid will be eliminated with the urine. So, we can prevent the sac liquid flow into cysts, thus preventing the appearing of new cysts and the enlargement of small cysts as well.
However, as we know, Polycystic Kidney Disease is knotty for it is a genic disease. It is difficult for patients to get rid of it completely, but we can treat the disease and make patients with Polycystic Kidney Disease live as healthy people. With the help of Stem Cells Transplant, kidney function can be improved rapidly and effectively, so we can prevent the growth of cysts effectively. In addition, stem cells can also generate new cells to replace the dead cells around cysts, thus making sac liquid flow out smoothly. If you want to know more about the treatment, you can email me: I hope we can fight against the disease together.
Parkinson’s disease has been classified into five stages by Hoehn and Yahr. Their classification is based on the severity of symptoms and the degree of disability the patient experiences.
When prescribing treatment, the neurologist will take into account the stage at which the patient is perceived to be, among other things.
Stage 1 is called unilateral disease. The term means that only one side of the body shows symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.
This is considered an early stage of the illness and may last for several years. Neuroprotective treatment is common at this stage. This treatment aims to prevent further damage to the nervous system.
Vitamin E was used at this stage, but many researchers are of the opinion that this is not very effective. A selective MAO-B inhibitor called Rasigiline has shown promise.
Stage 2 of Parkinson’s disease is labeled bilateral disease. Meaning, symptoms of Parkinson’s now show up on both sides of the body. The illness is considered to be at Stage 2 even if there is an insignificant symptom (an occasional tremor, for example) on the side of the body that was symptom-free earlier.
Recent therapies at this stage include use of dopamine agonists. Till some years ago, dopamine agonists were used only at later stages of the disease. Currently, researchers are of the view that if such treatment is started earlier, complications from using drugs like Levodopa may not arise at later stages.
The disease is said to be at stage 3 when symptoms show progression and especially when the patient has difficulty in maintaining their posture. Symptoms at this stage include postural instability and falling down.
Traditionally, this is the stage at which dopamine agonists or Levodopa was prescribed, but as mentioned above, some of these drugs are now used at earlier stages itself.
Stage 4 occurs when there is an increase in the severity of symptoms including postural instability and falling. Surgery is one option for treatment at this stage. Surgery can alleviate some of the symptoms. However, this is generally recommended only for relatively young patients who are in good health otherwise.
Stage 5 is the most advanced stage of Parkinson’s disease. The patient is usually wheelchair bound. Walking is possible only with assistance.
Levodopa continues to be a prescribed drug at this stage, along with a COMT inhibitor, which ensures that the effects last longer. Surgery may also be an option, including pallidotomy, which destroys a small group of brain cells. This helps avoid the rigidity often experienced with Parkinson’s disease and may stop tremors as well.
Another possible treatment is deep brain stimulation, where electrodes are implanted into the brain tissue and stimulated with low level electric currents.
The symptoms of Parkinson’s disease progress as the patient moves from one stage to the next. Ongoing research is producing new treatments including stem cell implants and new drugs.
